FAQ

What is the purpose of the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs?

The purpose of the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs (FLAC) is to facilitate positive interactions between like-minded Motorcycle Clubs. Support, education, & collaboration are at the heart of this organization. Our members will only endorse the highest standards set forth within these By-Laws and continue to be good stewards within their respective communities. This includes our unwavering stance as a law-abiding entity and one that supports all first responders, including law enforcement officers, in the difficult but necessary work they do. We as a law-abiding Federation do not subscribe to claiming territory; therefore, we recognise the inalienable rights of all motorcycle clubs to fly their patches unhindered in all areas. The bottom rockers we wear that contain the name of our city, county, state, region or country merely indicate the location we are from. Our goal is to create a positive environment of solidarity of member clubs to network and serve our members.

What are the principles of the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs?

All Federation of Law-Abiding Club members adhere to the principles of Honor, Integrity, Respect, and Charity. All affiliated clubs and members also uphold only the highest of moral standards and professionalism when representing themselves, their clubs, and the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs. The public perception of our members being law-abiding is of the utmost importance, and as such, all members and clubs affiliated with the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs remain vigilant and mindful of the rule of law within their respective countries.

What does the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs patch represent?

The FLAC patch denotes our membership in the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs. The purple shield is the color of the Praetorian Guards of Rome. The Praetorians protected the Senate and Citizens of Rome. On the shield is the likeness of a Fasces. The Fasces is the center image of rods bound together by leather straps, around an axe. This image also dates back to the Roman Senate. Today you can find images of the Fasces on both sides of the wall behind the chair of the Speaker of the House in the United States Congress and on either side of the chair Abraham Lincoln sits on in the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. It represents that each rod is easily broken but when bound together by the same values and mindset they cannot be broken. The axe is the strength in the members to stand against adversity to preserve the union of all membership clubs in the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs.

Who can become a member of the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs?

All law-abiding motorcycle clubs, riding clubs, associations, and motorcycle ministries are welcome to apply for membership. The Federation does NOT discriminate against race, color, or gender. Any club that identifies itself as a 1%er, a 1%er support club, or outlaw club will be excluded from membership. We take our law-abiding stance seriously.

Individual members of law-abiding motorcycle clubs, riding clubs, associations, and motorcycle ministries are also free to join the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs on their own without a club if they so choose to.

Does the Federation of Law-Abiding Clubs have dues?
